St Mark's is proud of its relationships the Team have formed with schools in our Parish Area.
Schools in which we have close bonds with and regularly visit are:
Londonderry Primary, Victoria Primary, Model Primary, West Winds Primary, Regent House and Movilla High School.
Stephen (our Youth Co-Ordinator) and Laura Ewing (Regent St Methodists) are embarking on a new initiative with Foundation classes within the Primary Schools.
The year long format is the "F.J. (follow Jesus) Programme and uses interactive methods to teach the very young children the importance of the Christian Faith.
The Rector and Stephen regularly visit Schools to conduct assemblies as well as engaging with pupils through Scripture Union groups.
Three years ago, Stephen introduced the first Schools' Celebration Service.
This year's was held on Shrove Tuesday 8th March when over 600 senior pupils from Londonderry, Regent, Model, Victoria, West Winds and St Finian's attended.
The Rector, the Youth Co-Ordinator as numerous Parishioners serve as Governors on all of the listed schools.
